Battle of Bordeaux
Cabernet Sauvignon
Barossa Valley

Bordeaux’s two big varieties Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc were crossed by chance in the 17th Century and the widely recognisable variety Cabernet Sauvignon was born.

This huge Cab Sauv originates from an award-winning vineyard in the heart of the Barossa Valley.

Sam and Sharon Schmidt have tended to these vines using organic and biodynamic practices for nearly two decades and came runner-up in the 2020 Spirit of Excellence in Agriculture Awards.

Juice from a 200 square meter worm farm is fertigated directly onto the vines increasing the biodiversity and microbial activity.
The resulting thick, dark skins stain your hands and contribute to the enormous flavour and colour of this delicious drop.

Nearby gum trees reduce yields and add some eucalyptus to the peppermint, nutmeg, and ripe blackberry on the nose.

The new oak contributes a vanilla-based masculine cologne.
You’ll also notice raspberry jam and milk chocolate on the palate with a dark chocolate finish.

Big fruit with ultra smooth finish leaves 'BOB' with a broad range of pairing options. ...fatty salt-bush lamb cutlets seared over charcoal has been spruiked around a fair bit.
