When we die we want to come back as vines on the Heath Family Estate Certified Organic property. Not much else gets as much love as this vineyard. For 5 years now, we’ve taken fruit from Row 13 which has improved in quality each year. In one of the toughest vintages for the state Dave pulled off the improbable; great quality & good volume! Each year we host a picking event at the vineyard with wine, cheese, beer and a barbie. Knowles Brothers Members with their friends and family come out and pick the fruit directly into the crusher in the vineyard. This way we take advantage of the wild yeasts and reduce the amount of process. 

It’s an elegant style more similar to 2016 but has a beautiful ‘Black Forest’ undertone to compliment the bright red fruit and rose water.

 Oak maturation was 7 weeks longer and malo ferment very late. 

We weren’t worried and got to bottling with as good as zero sulphur, zero spoilage and more integrated tannins. 10-day maceration Basket Pressed Matured in seasoned French Oak Made to Organic Specs.
