Given our single vineyard, single variety specialty, we are occasionally approached by growers to ‘project batch’ a portion of their vineyard, to see how their produce stands up in a test of ultimate fruit expression.

While picking the 2020 Heath Family Organic Estate Tempranillo, Dave asked us whether we would split our favorite portion of his Shiraz.
It’s a ridge of pink quartz running diagonally across Thelma Block, leaning down yield & producing very intense & flavorsome fruit. We hand select only the perfect bunches from specific vines in many rows.

13 days of maceration including 3 days cold soak picked up incredible blue fruits and colour.

Tasting Notes: Along with that, fine but firm tannin – more than you would expect, which integrated nicely during 14 months in fine grain French oak.

Cellaring: Enjoy till 2032 or longer if you really like your aged wines.
